Way Too Obsessed | Clare

One thing that people close to me know about me is that I love my gadgets. I love shopping for gadgets more than I do for clothes or shoes. I get more excited about the latest camera or laptop than I do about the latest fashion. A friend once commented “You read the Tech Section?!” in surprise when he learned of this side of mine.

I’m a careful buyer when it comes to gadgets. I don’t just buy anything because it’s the latest or in thing. I buy based on what I need and what is most practical for my budget. Quality is a big factor, obviously, so reviews on the gadgets I plan to buy are important and used as basis of which item to choose.

There is also the “adulting” factor: as much as I want to buy a certain gadget right away, the cost of it can be equated to how many months worth of groceries for my family, can be used for home items, repairs, taking the kids out since it’s summer… etc. I’m always thinking of what else I need to do first before purchasing something. Adulting aside, I can’t stop thinking about a particular gadget! I am obsessed!

One such gadget that I am planning to buy is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. I want to use this for work, where I usually have so many papers to read. I’d rather do that via tablet instead of printing everything — a waste of ink and paper, which I hate. I also have project management apps that I’d rather use on a tablet than on my phone (also Samsung, a Note 4), so a tablet would be the practical choice. I’ve read reviews on various Samsung tablets and this is the model that I prefer.

Looking around retail and online stores, I’ve discovered that Samsung did not release the WiFi only version of the tablet in the Philippines. Instead, they released the more expensive, LTE plus WiFi version. Luckily, online stores carry the former version, which is what I would like to buy.

I’ve been wanting to buy the tablet since late last year, but I haven’t yet. I keep flip-flopping between the 8-inch and the 9.7-inch version. I’m going nuts about it but I can’t decide which one I actually want. Which one is the more practical one to use for work (and play)? Pros and cons are online but no one could say which is the better of the two.

I want this tablet, I really do. Someone help me decide on which size to buy!
