This Could Be The End of Me | Clare

I don’t think I’ve ever watched TV in the same way since the entry of entertainment streaming services in the country.

As grateful as I am that many cable channels now offer same-day (or week) airing as the US with my favorite TV shows, I haven’t been able to catch up with them because I usually fall asleep early once I get home from work. I end up becoming very late with my favorite shows and usually rely on recaps to find out what has been going on. Thankfully, many streaming sites have popped up to help me catch up.

I tried Netflix recently and it’s been good. Not blow-my-mind impressive but still good. The selection isn’t as wide as I would have hoped but I do see a lot of TV shows and movies that I would love to see during my free time. I recently had the trial period for Netflix and I’ve seen some TV shows, a movie and they have all been easy to watch. No buffering or anything of the sort.

To be honest, the thing that worries me about these streaming sites is that I would not be productive anymore during my free time because I would probably spend it watching everything I could online. I actually had to cancel my membership (temporarily, I’ll be back) with Netflix because there are things I need to do when I don’t have work and I can’t be distracted with all the things I can watch there.

These sites could be the end of me if I let it. I would become a hermit staying in my room all day watching from my laptop or streaming it on my TV. That would not be healthy. Fun — for me, yes — but a disaster all the same.

Excuse me while I go back to streaming Naomi & Eli’s No Kiss List (because…Matthew Daddario).
