Who has not heard of Sherlock Holmes, the famous fictional detective? I have never read any of the books, but I am familiar with him. One person that I was not familiar with was his sister, Enola. I did not realize that there were also books about this young woman who is depicted to be just as good a detective as her older brother. The film starring Millie Bobby Brown playing the titular character Enola Holmes was my first introduction to the rest of the Holmes family, and it was a very entertaining thing to watch!

From what I have read online this movie was supposed to be shown in the cinemas but switched to Netflix because of the COVID 19 pandemic. It was a smart move that resulted in it being one of the most successful films on Netflix to date. So much so that there have been rumors of Netflix looking into possibly more Enola Holmes movies and Sherlock Holmes films featuring Henry Cavill, who gave a memorable and different spin to the character.
