Every Year Counts – Clare

I was watching the Jay Leno Show and was surprised to see that his guest was Arsenio Hall.

How long has it been? I can still remember the days when I used to watch Arsenio’s show when I was a little girl – the guy doesn’t look like he’s aged a bit!

The guy was amusing in some parts of his interview, a little annoying in others. What got to me though was what he said about his age. He said that he was 53, but that online people said he was 54. My first thought was “What? He’s the same age as my mom?” My second thought? It was that I loved what he said after. To paraphrase him:

It may only be one year, but when you reach a certain age, every year counts.

I think I’m at that certain age already because I couldn’t agree with him more when I heard that.
