Clare Henney: September 2010

I was out at the mall when I first noticed this new Ponds Facial Wash that was in a black tube/container. I didn’t know what it was about so I didn’t buy it. I was already using their Anti-bacterial Facial Wash so I figured that it probably didn’t have much of a difference. A few weeks later I saw the commercial and I was intrigued by the concept of activated carbon pulling out dirt from your face so I decided to give it a try. Two weeks in, I think it’s doing a good job. My face is naturally oily but after I started using this facial wash, my skin has improved. I don’t know if it’s because the weather has been cool lately but it hasn’t been oily at all. It’s improved to the point that I haven’t been breaking out lately compared to recent weeks. I even went one whole week without makeup and my skin looks fine compared to before when I really had to put on makeup to avoid looking oily and to cover up my breakouts.

This is not a commercial or paid ad for this product. I don’t know if the whole carbon thing is really what makes it work but I just think that it complements and works for my skin in particular. It’s a bit weird washing and smelling like you’re putting carbon paper on your face but after a while I kind of like the carbon smell of the facial wash. It’s been good for me, but it could be different for others, depending on their skin type.

If anyone wants to give it a try, maybe there’s a sachet you could purchase to check it out for a couple of days. It worked for me, maybe it can work for you too!  Super affordable, soothing smell and it works!  I really like it!
