I love the rain. I love waking up to a rainy morning and just curling up in bed a few extra minutes. I love how I don’t need a fan or air-conditioning on days when it’s rainy. I love the weather when it’s rainy. It just puts me in a calmer and ultimately better mood. It’s better than summer for me. My friends have often commented that they feel sad when the weather is dark and gloomy. I feel the same when it’s all sunny and hot. Is that weird? Still, it makes me sad when I hear about people dying because of massive flooding and from rain-related disease. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

I like the weather that comes with the rain – if we could have the weather all day with a bit of rain here and there, I would be happy with that.

Hmm, maybe I’m just not made for the tropical weather. I need to go to gloomier parts of the world – Europe perhaps? I’ll leave you all with a song that I always seem to hum in my head when it’s raining. After all these years I think this song is still cool.
