Clare Henney: October 2010
Work has required that I stay for a couple of nights in Tagaytay in a month or so. I didn’t have an idea about where to stay so my co-workers and I decided that we needed to check out several hotels in the area to see which one was the most affordable and most convenient place to stay. At the budget our office was giving, we needed something fairly low-priced but not something too seedy that I’d be scared to stay there. Here are the places we checked out and my first impressions on these establishments:
Hotel Kimberly – I liked Hotel Kimberly. It’s a fairly new hotel and I loved how courteous the staff is in their hotel and how helpful they were when I came in inquiring about their rooms and their rates. I liked the place although it was a bit far from the tourist spots in Tagaytay.
Crisanta Place – The standard room for this one is super low at P1, 000.00 but I doubt if I’d stay there. They showed the rooms and there was a door inside the room that led outside. It made my co-worker worried that anyone from the outside could just enter the room in the middle of the night if they wanted to through that door. I had to agree with her on that one. The place also looked a bit too secluded for me and not as secure as I’d like in a hotel.
The Inn – I knew that we couldn’t afford to stay there but we inquired anyway. We were hoping to see the rooms but they were occupied. My boss would kill me if we stayed at a P9, 000.00 room. It was a nice thing to dream about anyway. Hahaha!
