Clare Henney: Missing My Old Hair

There was a time when I had short hair that was colored like this — just like Yoon Eun Hye’s hair in Marry Him If You Dare. I promised myself that I’d let my hair grow out after a bob earlier this year but these days I want the whole “wash and wear” thing for my hair. I’m beginning to hate having to style it and tie it up in an awkward not-too-short-but-not-long-enough ponytail.

Stylists are telling me not to cut my hair again because I gained weight and the gain would be even more obvious with short hair but I really have this urge to cut it again and this time, I’ll color it back to my old favorite shade (again, like the one in this picture).

The last time I had the exact same style was probably two years ago. I had to stop coloring my hair because it was getting dry but I think it’s time to dye it back. I’m starting to have bunches of gray hair on my head (from stress?) and I’m not liking the old person look. I know we should age gracefully but I think I’m still too young to own the gray or even the salt and pepper look. What do you think?
