Finally!  I got my passport!

If you’ve read my previous post on my experience with the DFA, I didn’t expect to receive my passport because I was told that I might need to reshoot my photo because they did not like having people with bangs in their photo (don’t ask me why, I have no idea either).  I have been waiting for a dreaded phone call telling me my schedule for a re-shoot but thankfully, when my sister’s passport arrived, it had mine along with it!

It’s not the best looking passport photo out there, but at least now I know that I can go out of the country whenever I want to — or at least when I have the funds to be able to do so.  To be honest, I’m pretty excited about the passport because I’ve been wanting to go on a trip to see a few friends out of the country (in Asia) but at the moment I’m trying to decide where to go and my reason for going.  Thing is, part of me wants to go to travel but another part of me wants to go to find another job.  I really feel the need for a change and this passport has given me the opening for more opportunities to do so.

I wonder where I’ll go and what I’ll be doing when I do…first instinct right now is to go somewhere really cold to get away from the summer heat but considering that’ll probably be somewhere outside of Asia that’s probably not going to happen anytime soon.  At this point what I want is to get away from this heat, but if I can get a better job than what I have now, that would be much better.

Anyone know a country I can go to with job openings and cool weather?  The UK weather is starting to become very attractive to me right now!
