Clare Henney: March 2009

One month from today, the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be released here in Asia (with a difference of a day or two in other places). I can’t wait to watch the movie because it’s the first Hollywood film of Korean-American actor Daniel Henney, who I first fell in love with as Dr. Henry Kim on My Lovely Sam Soon.

I was very happy to learn about Daniel getting this role and to get updates from Dan himself on his website when he was filming the movie. One thing that got me excited about the film is that Dan has significant exposure in the movie previews/trailers – to me that would mean he has enough exposure in the movie for me to look forward to!

In Wolverine, Daniel plays David North (aka Agent Zero) a sharpshooter who is part of the Weapon X program, which would explain why his promotional photo has him holding a gun. I’m grateful he doesn’t end up masked the way Agent Zero is supposed to be – I would be upset if Dan got all covered up in his first Hollywood movie! I love that he’s doing an action film, it’s something different for him and I’m excited to see how he does in it!
