Clare Henney: June 2012
Over the weekend I recently had some repairs done around the house that were badly needed during the start of the rainy season.
When we bought our house in 2007 we weren’t really thinking about all the work that needed to be done after we bought it. We just knew we needed a new home and it happened to be available at a price that we could pay for. These days however, I’m beginning to think that that decision was not the best we could have done at the time.
There is so much work needed around the house. With the money I make it’s not enough to pay for everything all at once so I basically ignored the problems as long as I could until it became absolutely necessary to have them repaired (don’t even get me started on the property tax involved, that is a nightmare).
