Clare Henney: Ice Loves Coco

Don’t judge a book by its cover. I should have remembered that when I first took a look at Ice Loves Coco. I first saw the couple together from paparazzi photos that get splashed on TMZ and other online entertainment sites. I know Ice T is a rapper (although I don’t remember any of his songs) and that he’s on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit but I did not know who his wife was until I saw the photos.

I’m guilty of judging the girl based solely on her looks. A young woman with a big bra size, long nails, blond hair and all the makeup, I already had her pegged for a bimbo who was only married to Ice T for fame and money. When I watched the reality show that the couple is in, however, my opinion of her changed.

Coco seems to be a pretty smart girl and she adores her husband. She seems to be a sweet girl who is close to her family.  Yes, the voice and the way she talks may make you think she doesn’t have anything between her ears sometimes but during the scenes where she’s working, you can tell that she’s smarter than she looks and can actually take on a take-no-prisoners mode when she wants to. To be honest, I think Ice and Coco make a cute couple.  They’re really sweet to each other (and to their dog, Spartacus).  I’d watch the show more if I can manage to figure out what time it’s actually on.  I only see it when I flip channel and have nothing to watch. I know reality shows are not completely real, but I hope that most of what I see of these two are true because I like what I see.
