It has been 103 days since Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines. So many people from all over the world have given not only their money but also their time and effort to help the places affected to rebuild after the storm. There is still a lot to be done, but with the help of everyone all over the world, I’m sure that in time, people in the affected areas can lead normal lives again.
News website Rappler posted an update on aid pledged, received and what has been done so far to help the people and places that were greatly affected by the typhoon.
The Department of Tourism here in the Philippines has launched a campaign to thank the many nations that have stepped up to help the country in our time of need and I thought it would be great to spread the word and share their campaign with you. If you have helped in any way by donating, volunteering or spreading the word to get support going, I would like to say thanks to you. In behalf of our country, thank you.
