Clare Henney: Catching Up on My Reading

2011 for me is the year that I catch up with my reading. I have so many books on my reading list (and I keep adding to that every single time a new interesting one pops up)! I know that if I don’t start reading I’m never going to finish! I think I’ve made the right decision to start reading again. I missed the feeling of reading and not wanting to put it down until you’ve finished. I love being able to use my imagination again to picture things as they are happening in the books that I read.
So far, I’ve read eight books. That’s a book a month when I think about it, but I actually had months when I read more than one book and months when I just didn’t have the time to read any. I have this feeling that I will have more than 12 books read by the end of the year because there’s so many books I’m really excited to start reading and I have been making the effort to have reading time at least once a week. I’d like to be able to catch up on the books that I’ve been hearing about from my friends. Hopefully I can read this whole Game of Thrones thing sometime this year.
I’m currently reading Dante Alighieri’s The Divine Comedy. I know, it’s not exactly a current book but for some reason I was just so drawn to it and I’ve been reading it for some time now. It’s not an easy read because the language is really deep and you need to really think about it and take it in before you move to the next page. It’s a challenging read, I am not going to lie about that. Still, I think I’ll give this a shot.
If there are any good books you’d like to recommend, please feel free to comment and add it to my ever-growing reading list.
