Clare Henney: About Me

First things first: My name is Clare but my last name isn’t really Henney — I’m just using it as part of my online name. I had a huge crush on Korean-American actor Daniel Henney (who played Agent Zero in Wolverine) and like any girl, I toyed around with the idea of having his last name as my married name. I liked the sound of it and decided to use it online. The name has stuck with me for the past couple of years and I’d like to think that it has become my brand of sorts.  I’ve toyed around with changing the name to Clare Young (because of hapa actor/model/host George Young) but decided it just didn’t sound right. I also thought about the name Clare Godfrey because of my “Google boyfriend” model/host/writer Jason Godfrey (search “Jason Godfrey girlfriend” and you just might land here on my blog). Both names just didn’t sound as right as Clare Henney. I do not harbor any illusions of marriage to Dan but I’ve decided to keep the name.  It helps me to keep a small level of anonymity here in the blogosphere and like I said earlier, it sounds good too.  I was born and raised in the Metro Manila area and moved to the the province when I was 21.  I have lived in a rural part of the country since then. I’ve had a mix of the crazy busy city life and the laid-back lifestyle of provincial life living in both settings . I make it a point to still have a balance of both when I can by visiting family and friends in the city whenever possible. A blogger since 2003, I have (as the handful of people who follow me know) moved from blog to blog, from URL to URL for a while.  As bad luck would have it, I accidentally deleted my posts from 2003-2008 so I had to start fresh with this one.  I hope it’s worth the read.
