Clare Henney: 7 Thoughts on Android vs Apple

What kind of phone/gadget do you use? Do you use Android or Apple? I know a lot of people put a lot of stock in the “image” that goes with using an Apple gadget as opposed to using Android but for me, it’s a matter of practicality and function. Both types have their pros and cons and here are some of the important factors that made me consider my choice of gadget: Memory Card – I prefer having everything on my phone/tablet that I need. The fact that Apple doesn’t support memory card expansions is an issue for me.

iTunes – I do not own an Apple phone or tablet but I have been able to use them at one point or another. One issue that I have is the ease of transferring files from my laptop to the Apple gadgets. Do we really have to go through iTunes all the time? It’s so much easier with Android!

Gadget Choices – There are so much more choices in terms of gadgets with Android. Yes, I admit, quality before quantity with Apple but at least there are more choices with Android (which helps for people like me who prefer to acquire less pricey gadgets).

Google – I use Google for a lot of things. I blog with it, I email with it, I use the calendar…I could go on and on. The fact that Android is connected to Google means that this operating system is more useful to me than Apple is.

Before anyone thinks that I’m pro-Android all the way, here are some of the things I love about Apple:

Screen Quality – No matter how competitive the Android gadgets are, they just cannot compare to the screen quality of Apple.

Apps – There are so many apps that are on the iTunes store that are not on Google Play Store that I’ve always wanted to try. Unfortunately, I use Android so that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Camera – Is it just me or are photos just better from Apple compared to Android?

I currently use an Android so it’s not a surprise that there are a lot of things about it that I like. However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t think there are better Apple products out there. For now, however, this is what works for me and I am going with it. What type of gadget do you use/what do you prefer? Leave me a message and let me know!
